Just to give you a little background about myself…
I’m the oldest daughter in a family of five and live on a hobby farm outside Endeavor. I’m very involved in my school and community. I’m the president of the Douglas Doers 4-H Club, president of my high school’s Student Council, and junior advisor of the Portage FFA. I’m also a member of FBLA and Columbia County Teen Court. I play trombone in the band and piano for fun. As for sports I play varsity volleyball, soccer, and barrel race my horses. I stay pretty busy but that’s the way I like it!
DARE has had a major impact on my life. I graduated from DARE in 2004 at the Endeavor Elementary School. I may not be able to remember the exact details of what I learned, but I know that doing drugs and alcohol is wrong! I’ve never drank or done drugs and that is something I am extremely proud of. I face the same peer pressure that all teens face and I know how tough it is to do what’s right sometimes. For anyone who’s out there, I want you to know that you’re not alone. There are people just like you who know that drugs and alcohol aren’t worth it. Don’t give in! |
