I am enrolled in rigorous honors and advanced placement courses while still managing to make time for football, family, and friends. In addition to this, I enjoy going to church and casually playing a variety of other sports.
This year will be my first as a D.A.R.E. representative, and I feel honored to have been accepted into the program. Although I have not yet participated in many activities, I feel overjoyed to be joining forces with such a great organization, and I am confident in my ability to be a helpful asset to the association. As a representative, I will do all I can to help those in my state and community to take a stand.
I was first incorporated into the D.A.R.E. program as a fifth-grader in elementary school, and to this day, I still remember the teachings and stay true to my pledge. Each day, as I work through peer pressure and temptation, I just hope that my life may be an example to later generations, and that by watching my actions, their lives would be impacted, causing them to take a stand, as I do today, against drugs and violence. |
