D.A.R.E. America Youth Advisory Board Nebraska representative

Daniel Petersen

Daniel got involved in D.A.R.E. through the mandatory school program for elementary kids in his community.  He spent a lot of time in class learning about drugs and alcohol and how they can ruin a person’s life because of their affects on the human body. Daniel greatly enjoyed the experience and knows that what he learned has pertinent meaning for the rest of his life. 

After the elementary D.A.R.E. program, Daniel was nominated for the Nebraska Representative on the Youth Advisory Board.  He was picked and now participates with the D.A.R.E. program on a national level. 

In the next few years, Daniel plans to make the D.A.R.E. more active in his community and in the great state of Nebraska through the use of after-school programs for young kids. 

He also participates in drama, musicals, one-acts, speech, band, show choir, instrumental music (guitar, piano, trumpet, french horn), and church.
