New Jersey Representative

The summer after my D.A.R.E. graduation, I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to attend the D.A.R.E. Leadership Summer Camp in New Jersey, where I learned even more about D.A.R.E. and its message.  I also learned some of the leadership skills that I currently have today. 

I loved the camp so much that I asked to attend again two years later as a junior mentor.  I’ve been a junior mentor for three years now and every summer I learn so much more than the year before.  I’m also a member of D.A.R.E. New Jersey’s Youth Advisory Board.  The board has just been created, so we’re in the process building it, but I can tell that we’re going to do great things within our state.

D.A.R.E. has been such a huge part of my life ever since I was first introduced to it when I was in middle school.  It has helped me make good decisions and become a good role model.  I’ve chosen to stay involved with my school and community rather than get mixed up with drugs and alcohol. 

In my school, I’m president of the PEER Organization, a member of the Executive Student Council, a part of the soccer and softball teams, and I keep the stat book for the wrestling team.

This is my first year as the New Jersey representative for the Youth Advisory Board and I am very excited to work with everyone and learn more about how I can spread D.A.R.E.’s message to my community and state!
