Oklahoma adds 12 new D.A.R.E. programs

The State of Oklahoma leads the country in adding new D.A.R.E. programs. Their successful approach focuses on innovative strategies such as communicating with every single Chief of Police and Sheriff in the State in announcing their upcoming D.A.R.E. Officer training sessions. They include kindergarten, elementary and middle school curricula and they certify each D.A.R.E. Officer as a School Resource Officer.
Under the leadership of Herb McDonald and Lori Swanson, Oklahoma is leading the nation in adding D.A.R.E. programs. This strategy has been straight-forward and highly effective.
The results say it all, Congratulations Oklahoma!
