TEMPLETON- Youngsters at Vineyard Elementary School in Templeton participated in a special assembly on campus. The event featured a graduation for the school’s fifth-graders for completing the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.
Students were also treated to entertainment from Retro Bill, a children’s speaker who travels to schools nationwide to talk about self-esteem and how to build good character.

About 350 DARE graduates from area elementary schools celebrated their involvement in the DARE program Wednesday at the Arlington Theatre. Bill Russ, the official DARE-America safety buddy was the keynote speaker at the ceremony, and the Daren -the-Lion helped the students celebrate.
