Abby Migliarese
I graduated at the end of fifth grade from the DARE program and was rewarded with the experience of DARE camp at the end of sixth grade. Through the DARE program I learned how drugs and alcohol could affect me and others around you. DARE has helped me in realistic situations by showing me how to deal with peer pressure concerning drinking alcohol and experimenting with drugs.
I am a member of the Junior Honor Society; I have been a member of the Student Council Association since sixth grade and a member of the Student Advisory Council to the Superintendent of the City of Salem Schools. My most rewarding position was being a counselor at the City of Salem Buddy Camp for special education children, during the last two summers.
On a more relaxed note, I play travel soccer and I am a member of the high school soccer team. I also enjoy being a member of the swim team.
It is an honor to serve on the Youth Advisory Board to help continue to educate youth and my peers on the effects of drugs and alcohol use and help deter them from using drugs and alcohol.
