Isha Jog

Hello! My name is Isha Jog, and I am a junior at Hoffman Estates High School. I am honored to be representing Illinois on the D.A.R.E. Youth Advisory Board.

D.A.R.E. became a part of my life in 6th grade, when I went through the program and was chosen student speaker at graduation. I continue to keep my pledge to say no drugs and alcohol and reach out to motivate my friends to do the same.

I am a passionate dancer, with 10 years of experience in ballet, hip-hop, and Indian Classical dancing and I have had the opportunity to perform at over 150 cultural events in Chicago.

At Hoffman Estates High School I am a member of the varsity dance team, a Board member of the forensics team, S.A.D.D. club (Students Against Destructive Decisions), and Business Professionals of America.

This year I created and organized “Halloween Against Hunger” in my community and over 100 pounds of food was collected and donated to the local food pantry.

As a model and pageant competitor, I currently hold the title of

Miss American Elegance National Teen 2012 and have been in a national commercial and print ad.

As a trilingual student who has visited over 30 states and 8 countries, I am always ready for the next adventure! I am excited for the opportunity to serve on the board, and to be able to promote the organization and its values in my state. My goal is to encourage others and my peers to live a substance free and non-violent lifestyle.
