I’m 15 years old and a sophomore at Bishop Feehan High School. I play on the soccer team and do volunteer work with school and community groups. Also, I have been playing club soccer since I was 9 years old. I’ve participated in three futsal regional championships and two futsal national championships. My club team is ranked 9th in Massachusetts.
My DARE officer has been close to me ever since I can remember and we’re good family friends. He has inspired me to continue with DARE and take it to the next level, which I look forward to doing. I am interested in working with kids, leading by example and sharing what I have learned in the DARE program.
DARE has taught me the consequences of drugs and alcohol and how to make good decisions. But we can build on that by teaching not only self-respect, but respect for others. All forms of bullying must stop. I will do whatever necessary to help get the message out.
I participated in the Northeast DARE Officers annual training conference and represented DARE Massachusetts at the Topsfield Fair Parade. I also worked as a youth counselor at our local DARE summer camp. I can’t wait to do more to further the DARE cause.
I am proud to serve, and look forward to doing all I can to support DARE programs throughout Massachusetts.
