Tarin Hupp

My name is Tarin Hupp.  I am 15 years old.  My hometown is Huron.

I was first introduced to DARE in 5th grade.  Back then I didn’t see the real importance to DARE.  I wondered why we needed it.  Now that I am older and in high school, I understand the importance of the DARE program.  Kids need to be informed and learn about the dangers and life altering choices they will have to make in the road ahead.

DARE has helped guide me to make good choices and also to care more about my community and my classmates.  It has opened my eyes to how the world around me is changing due to drugs.

This is my first year as the SD representative for DARE Youth Advisory Board.  I look forward to working with youth to help them make good choices and play a part in drug and alcohol awareness.
