United Kingdom

To date over 200,000 students have graduated from D.A.R.E. in the UK.  There are 69 trained D.A.R.E. officers and 10 mentor officers in the United Kingdom.

There is strong support for D.A.R.E. in the United Kingdom and parents, teachers and the police are working together for continued program growth.

The Mission of D.A.R.E. UK:

To make a measurable contribution to the reduction of drug, solvent and alcohol abuse and violence throughout the UK by educating children about the consequences of drug misuse, providing them with the means to resist the temptation to experiment and mobilising the support of the whole community in this endeavour.

Scott Gilliam, Director of Training for DARE US, showed his true commitment to the cause during his recent visit to the UK, by not only holding the Union Jack as he joined the Lord Mayors’ Parade in London, but he also endured a full day of our finest, relentless, rain. Well done Scott!!
