2007 D.A.R.E. INTERNATIONAL TRAINING CONFERENCE
There is a New D.A.R.E. Community Education Program. The D.A.R.E. Parent Education Program has been retired.
The New D.A.R.E. Community Education Program consists of a menu of “stand alone” presentations designed not only to benefit parents of D.A.R.E. students, but all adult caregivers and other members of the community.
The New D.A.R.E Community Education Program provides individual presentations that may be delivered in a multitude of settings to include: PTA/PTO meetings, community meetings, fraternal/service organization meetings, or workplace benefit programs.
The first six D.A.R.E. Community Education Program presentations will be featured during the 2007 D.A.R.E. International Training Conference. The topics of these presentations are:
• Over the Counter and Prescription Drug Abuse • Internet Safety • Bullying • Inhalants • Methamphetamine • Current Trends in Youth Drug Experimentation, Use and Abuse
To be certified to deliver the New D.A.R.E. Community Education Program presentations you must complete required training.
