What is the toolbar?
The toolbar is a free, handy addition to your web browser that allows you to search for products and shop with major online retailers while supporting D.A.R.E. all at the same time, at no extra cost. The toolbar appears right below your web browser's normal control bar in a non-obtrusive way.
Does it cost anything to use?
No. There is absolutely no charge to download and use the toolbar for D.A.R.E. No surcharges or hidden costs are added to your shopping purchases. D.A.R.E. receives a referral commission that is deducted from the merchant's current listed prices.
Does the toolbar collect and share my personal information? Is it Spyware?
Absolutely not! The toolbar only keeps track of your online shopping strictly for purpose of crediting D.A.R.E. It does not observe your activities or look into your private files. Do I need an Internet connection to use the toolbar?
If you wish to use the search function or to shop, a working Internet connection is required. However, you would normally be online in order to browse the web anyway.
Can I use any computer and Internet connection?
You can use any Windows based computer that can run a relatively recent version of Internet Explorer and connect at 56K or better. If you can already currently surf the Web, shop, and communicate with your computer, chances are you can use our toolbar.
