Collaborative
Arts Project 21, Inc.), a not-for-profit organization, dedicates itself
to the creation of new work, the development of new talent and the building
of new audiences. These three critical and distinct artistic components
will drive the entertainment industry in the 21st century.
CAP21's goal is to create programs to achieve substantial
and lasting contributions to the future of arts. Every CAP21 endeavor
embraces the following values: collaboration; an exchange between support
system; an infusion of the traditional with the innovative, and a commitment
to serving and cultivating a diverse audience.
CAP21's values foster the best possible atmosphere
to stimulate creativity.
CAP21 was hired to bring the first DARE Dance Program
to New York City. They developed a music and a hip hop/jazz interpretive
story for children at PS 20 (the Anna Silver School in Manhattan). The
children at PS 20 then had the opportunity to register for a ten-week
program with Josh Walden, and will perform their theater/hip hop dance
piece for families, students and teachers in their schools.
