D.A.R.E. America Regional Director Mike Lien is the Retired Chief
of Police, Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Chief Lien also served as Chief
of Police for the City of Baraboo, Wisconsin. His tenure as a chief
of police exceeds 23 years. Chief Lien also has experience as serving
as acting and/or interim City Manager. Chief Lien was also chief
polygraph examiner for the Eau Claire Police Department, Wisconsin.
Chief Lien has been recognized as the Wisconsin Law Enforcement
Executive of the Year and has been elected as President of the Wisconsin
Chief's of Police Association (WCPA). The WCPA appointed Chief Lien
as their representative to the International Association of Chiefs
of Police (I.A.C.P.) - State Association of Chiefs of Police (S.A.C.O.P.)
Division. Subsequently, he was elected by twelve other states as
the North Central Regional Director Chairperson for the I.A.C.P.-S.A.C.O.P.
Chief Lien holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University
of Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Law
Enforcement Executive Development School, National Emergency Management
Institute, Senior Executive Institute, University of Minnesota -
Juvenile Officer Institute and the Federal Law Enforcement Polygraph
School.
